Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a VELYS Spine Clinical Specialist to lead clinical introduction, adoption, and optimization of spine robotics across UK centers. You will partner with surgeons and hospital teams to ensure safe, effective use and drive scalable growth.

The role requires working across multiple sites, delivering hands-on training, and building clinical capability while advancing patient outcomes in orthopaedics and enabling technology. Travel across the UK is expected.

Qualifications

• Clinical background such as ODP, scrub nurse, allied health professional or equivalent.
• Experience in spine, orthopaedics and enabling technology is essential.
• Strong understanding of surgical environments and workflows.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills.
• Ability to work independently in a field-based, highly travel role.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site Clinical launch and implementation of VELYS Spine systems at new UK centers.
• Provide in-theatre case support ensuring safe use during procedures.
• Guide surgical teams on workflow integration and best practices.
• Deliver structured education programmes for surgeons and theatre teams.
• Build clinical capability across user groups and develop champions.
• Drive early adoption and sustained utilisation of VELYS Spine technology; monitor usage and outcomes.
• Maintain relationships with Spine surgeons, theatre staff, hospital management and digital stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Medical Education to support site activations and provide clinical feedback.
• Capture field insights to drive product and pathway improvements; stay updated on robotics innovations.
• Aim for scalable robotics adoption and establishment of centres of excellence.
