Job summary

Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) is advertising for a Speech and Language Therapy Clinical Team Manager working within the Expert at Hand model. This 0.6 WTE role involves day-to-day operational management of a team of SLTs and SLT assistants, collaborating with specialists and other leads to deliver high-quality care across settings.

The post requires supervisory experience, partnership working with families and other agencies, and a commitment to service development and quality

Qualifications

• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and supervising staff.
• Experience in safeguarding children and inter-agency collaboration.
• Experience delivering care within an equalities and human rights framework.
• Experience planning inter-agency meetings for treatment packages.
• Experience involving service users as partners in service design.
• Experience in service development and quality improvement.
• Experience HR processes including appraisals and sickness management.
• Experience in teaching/training other professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and day-to-day operational management of the clinical team.
• Ensure delivery of evidence-based clinical care and target compliance.
• Collaborate with other pathways, departments, and partner organisations.
• Engage with children, young people and families to facilitate active participation.
• Identify and manage clinical and non-clinical risks within the pathway.
• Maintain systems to monitor demand and clinical capacity.
• Work with leaders to uphold clinical standards and safety.
• Supervise clinicians and support HR policies and staff wellbeing.
• Attend, participate in and chair relevant meetings; deputise as required.
