Job summary

Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) is advertising for a Speech and Language Therapy Clinical Team Manager within the Expert at Hand model. The post is 0.6 WTE and can be split to fit with other roles, providing day-to-day operational management of the speech and language pathway.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team of SLTs and assistants, work closely with clinical specialists and service leads, supervise staff, and contribute to service development while safeguarding and improving

Qualifications

• Experience collaborating with service users and families using goal-based care.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary teams and across agencies.
• Clinical practice delivery for children with complex conditions including risk assessments.
• Supervising others and managing HR processes.
• Safeguarding children and inter-agency collaboration.
• Data-driven service development and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective collaborative leadership and day to day operational management of the clinical team.
• Ensure delivery of evidence-based clinical care and optimal capacity.
• Partner with other clinical pathways and organisations to deliver care.
• Engage children, young people and families in care planning and delivery.
• Identify and manage clinical and non-clinical risks within the pathway.
• Oversee supervision and staff wellbeing, and HR policy adherence.
• Attend and chair meetings; deputise for Operations Manager when required.
