Job summary

Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) seeks a Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join the Experts at Hand service in Barnstaple, delivering specialist assessment, intervention and training within a multidisciplinary team.

The post supports children and young people across early years, school and post-16 settings, with opportunities for supervision of peers and involvement in audits and research to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Recognised SLT degree and HCPC registration are essential.
• Registered with RCSLT and active in relevant special interest groups.
• Evidence of specialist postgraduate courses in paediatric communication disorders including stammering,Learning disability and autism.

Responsibilities

• Manage caseload of children and young people with SLCN using evidence‑based practice.
• Provide supervision to less experienced SLTs within the team.
• Coordinate clinic activities and day‑to‑day caseload management with clinical team.
• Participate in student placements and team audits.
