What you will do:

  • Assess, treat, and manage complex clients with speech, language, and communication difficulties, including those with dysphagia
  • Collaborate with carers and multidisciplinary teams, contributing to a holistic approach to care
  • Write detailed clinical notes and reports that accurately reflect patient progress
  • Manage your own caseload, ensuring high standards of care and timely intervention
  • Develop reflective clinical practices, enhancing personal skills and those of less experienced staff
  • Deliver and evaluate training sessions, sharing your knowledge with colleagues
  • Advise and provide second opinions where needed, utilising a well-founded knowledge of assessment tools
  • Implement a range of therapeutic interventions tailored to client needs
  • Understand and promote alternative communication systems for neurological and acute client groups
  • Collaborate with health, social care, and voluntary sector professionals related to ENT and acute cases
  • Adhere to national policies and standards, contributing to clinical governance and audit processes
