Job Location - The West Centre G15 7TS/ Stobhill Hospital CHP Offices G21 3UR

We have an opportunity for a Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to join our East Dunbartonshire Community Paediatric Team. Our team is based across two sites – Stobhill Hospital and The West Centre. You will work within an established team of SLTs and Clinical Support Workers aligned to the local leadership team. We welcome applicants with a range of clinical knowledge and practice experience appropriate to a Band 5 experiential level and this post is suitable for NQPs.

You will provide care in alignment with person centred care and Realistic Medicine Principles to help children and families who have a range of communication, neurodevelopmental and eating and drinking differences. Collaborative working within the ND service pathway is a key part of this role. Building relationships with the wider children’s workforce to help them understand and create the conditions needed to support communication difference is a critical component of this role.

Care from the service is designed flexibly around the needs of our young people and their families therefore will be provided across all settings where they are, including home, pre-5, mainstream and ASN education establishments as well as health settings.

The team offers a high level of robust clinical supervision and governance structures with ongoing practice development opportunities.

This is a clinical post which will require staff to be present in the team base when not out on clinical visits. The core team hours are 9am-5pm across the core working days, Monday –Friday.
