Job summary

IQVIA Laboratories in Livingston, UK seeks a motivated Specimen Management Associate. You will handle accessioning, shipment and storage of samples with accurate labeling and inventory control, while supporting safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will guide entry-level staff and assist with onboarding. You will respond to alarms and critical tasks, contributing to data integrity and efficient workflows in a fast-paced biorepository

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of related experience in a warehouse environment.
• Basic knowledge of internal systems and procedures.
• Good working knowledge of relevant procedures.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to maintain effective reporting procedures and control workflow.
• Ability to collaborate with coworkers, managers and clients.

Responsibilities

• Accessioning, shipment and storage of samples with accurate identification, sorting and labeling.
• Maintain freezer and inventory.
• Identify errors or potential issues and escalate to senior staff.
• Assist with onboarding of new staff and guide junior colleagues.
• Respond to after-hour alarms and critical functions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and 6S initiatives.
• Communicate clearly with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Support regulatory adherence and documentation.
