Job summary

Novogene Europe in the United Kingdom is seeking a diligent Sample Management Associate to handle sample reception, registration, storage, and related logistics within the Cambridge facility.

You will follow SOPs, manage documentation in LIMS, coordinate sample movements, and support quality control and safety initiatives while collaborating with laboratory colleagues and external partners. Proactive communication and meticulous record-keeping are essential.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Chinese, both written and spoken.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong time-management and prioritisation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Receive samples according to SOP and ensure integrity.
• Register and store samples in LIMS with accurate labeling.
• Coordinate sample collection and return with other departments.
• Handle customs and shipping documentation for UK lab shipments.
• Communicate exceptions promptly and take corrective action.
• Inspect and maintain equipment related to sample management.
• Maintain accurate sample records and files.
• Manage consumables and supplies for sample processing.
• Maintain effective communication with team, partners and customers.
• Participate in training to comply with SOPs and QC activities.
• Ensure environment hygiene and safety standards are met.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
