Job summary

SLS Services Limited is seeking a Biospecimens Coordinator to oversee the human tissue repository, ensuring efficient and compliant operations. You will procure, register, and store samples following SOPs, while maintaining traceable LIMS inventory and coordinating access for stakeholders.

In this role you will audit and support inspections, work cross-functionally to integrate data, and train staff on biospecimen handling best practices. On-site position based in Greater London, UK.

Qualifications

• BSc in Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, or related discipline.
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in research tissue banking, sample management, or lab operations.
• Proactive understanding of HTA, GDPR, and biospecimen regulatory frameworks.
• Industry experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Procure, register, and store biological samples following SOPs.
• Maintain accurate LIMS-based inventory ensuring full traceability.
• Coordinate sample access, tracking, and distribution for internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct internal audits and support inspections to maintain compliance.
• Work cross-functionally to integrate biospecimen data into pipelines.
• Train and mentor staff on best practices for biospecimen handling.
