Job summary

IQVIA Discovery Sciences in Cambridge is recruiting an Associate Technical Specialist to support the Sample Management team and accelerate research programmes.

In this role, you will operate and maintain automated lab platforms, assist with protocol development, and ensure accurate SAP transactions and documentation while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• BSc in a scientific discipline.
• Laboratory experience gained through academia or industry.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and data handling skills.
• Good IT literacy and interest in automation technologies.
• Experience within Pharma, Biotech or CRO environments and knowledge of liquid handling automation would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain automated laboratory platforms (Echo, Tecan, Janus, Beckman, HighRes, Mosquito, SmartCell, Hamilton Tube Store).
• Support liquid handling protocol development and routine sample management activities.
• Complete SAP transactions and laboratory documentation accurately and on time.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with quality standards.
