Job summary

IQVIA Laboratories – Central Laboratory Service is recruiting an Associate Manager to supervise a lab team in Livingston, UK. You will oversee daily operations, guide staff performance, and coordinate with management to meet safety and quality goals.

With a Bachelor’s in Human Biology-based science and 4+ years in a clinical lab or trials setting, you will apply CAPA processes, LEAN 6 Sigma principles, and data-driven improvements to ensure high-quality outcomes across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Human Biology based science.
• 4 years of relevant experience in a clinical laboratory or clinical trials environment.
• Experience in technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency with LIMS and other laboratory data systems.
• Familiarity with CAPA processes and quality systems.
• Ability to analyse and interpret complex data.
• LEAN 6 Sigma principles understanding.

Responsibilities

• supervise a team of lab staff and manage day-to-day operational activities.
• hire, train and manage staff performance under management mentorship.
• review laboratory metrics and drive process improvements including cost savings.
• ensure safety policies and procedures are understood and followed by reports and stakeholders.
• ensure CAPA and quality incidents are resolved and prevention actions implemented.
