Job summary

CNTW NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a compassionate Staff Nurse to join Alwinton, part of Secure Care Services at Sycamore, Northgate Park. You will deliver safe, person-centred nursing care for men with learning disabilities within a medium-secure inpatient service.

You will work within the nursing and multidisciplinary teams, completing care plans, risk assessments, medication management, and promoting positive behaviour support to encourage recovery and progression through the care pathway.

Qualifications

• Deliver compassionate, person-centred nursing care to patients with learning disabilities.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team to plan, assess, and review care.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate individualised nursing care for patients with learning disabilities and complex needs.
• Build therapeutic relationships and promote dignity, respect, and engagement in recovery.
• Complete and review clinical assessments, risk assessments and care plans.
• Monitor mental and physical health and escalate concerns promptly to ensure safety.
• Administer medication safely in line with policies and standards.
• Participate in care coordination and handovers within the MDT.
