Job summary

Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and wear (CNTW) NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Staff Nurse to join Alwinton, part of Secure Care Services at Sycamore, Northgate Park. You will deliver person-centred care, build therapeutic relationships and work within a multidisciplinary team to support recovery and progression through the care pathway.

Qualifications

• Therapy Based Training qualification or equivalent.
• Degree level qualification required or preferred.
• ENB 998 / P126/127 or equivalent for post-registration practice.
• Evidence of post-registration clinical experience in a suitable setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate individualised nursing care for patients with learning disabilities and complex needs.
• Build therapeutic relationships emphasising dignity, respect and recovery.
• Complete and review clinical assessments, risk assessments and care plans.
• Monitor mental and physical health; escalate concerns promptly.
• Administer medication safely in line with policies.
• Implement positive behaviour support to reduce distress and risk of escalation.
