Job summary

CNTW NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Nurse Lead (Band 6) for Alwinton Ward at Northgate Park. You will provide clinical leadership, supervise nursing staff and support the Ward Manager in daily operations within a medium-secure environment.

You will lead person-centred care, ensure robust care planning and risk assessment, and drive service improvement with the multidisciplinary team. DBS checks and professional registration apply.

Qualifications

• Post-registration clinical experience.
• Clinical supervision experience.
• Care coordination and safeguarding knowledge.
• Band 5 experience with service-need considerations.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and role model high nursing standards.
• Support Ward Manager with day-to-day operational and clinical management.
• Lead assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of person-centred care.
• Ensure care plans, risk assessments and positive behaviour support plans are current.
• Monitor clinical risks, review incidents and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Provide safe, therapeutic care within a medium-secure environment.
• Supervise, support and develop nursing staff including supervision and appraisal.
• Promote safe medication management and safeguarding compliance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies.
• Monitor care quality and patient experience; drive continuous improvement.
• Promote a positive team culture and staff wellbeing.
