Job description

If so then GMMH and Wigan CAMHS has a role for you working as part of a real Multi Disciplinary Team as one of our Specialist CAMHS Practitioners in Community CAMHS .

This is a specific and exiting opportunity for an experienced CAMHS Practitioner to undertake training in CBT and progress into a specialist role. You will be supported to undertake CBT training and the relevant supervision qualification.

You will use your CBT skills in your clinical work alongside your core CAMHS experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Specialist CAMHS mental health practitioner you will be working as part of the MDT.

You will have responsibility for supporting the team in triage and assessment of referrals to our service and ensuing timely and responsive access to the appropriate care pathways.

You will be responsible for the management of cases, duty, risk assessments, training and development within the team and wider THRIVE partners. Important developments of system partner relationships and building on the fantastic relationships we have in Wigan across Local Authority CVS and Wigan Family Welfare. The role as a Specialist CAMHS Practitioner will also allow management development as the role will deputise in the absence of senior staff for the service.

Undertaking CBT interventions with children and young people, and also offering supervision in this modality when fully qualified and registered.

  • Pay Enhancements 30% additional for Evenings (8pm onwards) and Saturdays and 60% additional for Sundays and Bank holidays.
