A mental health service provider in Wigan is looking for an experienced CAMHS Practitioner to join their team. This role includes training in CBT and being part of a multi-disciplinary team. Responsibilities involve triage, case management, and undertaking interventions with children. If so then GMMH and Wigan CAMHS has a role for you working as part of a real Multi‑Disciplinary Team as one of our Specialist CAMHS Practitioners in Community CAMHS.
This is a specific and exciting opportunity for an experienced CAMHS Practitioner to undertake training in CBT and progress into a specialist role. You will be supported to undertake CBT training and the relevant supervision qualification. You will use your CBT skills in your clinical work alongside your core CAMHS experience.
As a Specialist CAMHS mental health practitioner you will be working as part of the MDT. You will have responsibility for supporting the team in triage and assessment of referrals to our service and ensuring timely and responsive access to the appropriate care pathways. You will be responsible for case management, duty, risk assessments, training and development within the team and wider THRIVE partners. Important developments of system partner relationships and building on the fantastic relationships we have in Wigan across Local Authority CVS and Wigan Family Welfare. The role as a Specialist CAMHS Practitioner will also allow management development as the role will deputise in the absence of senior staff for the service.
Undertaking CBT interventions with children and young people, and also offering supervision in this modality when fully qualified and registered.
