A healthcare provider in Wales is seeking a motivated CAMHS Specialist to provide assessment and therapeutic services to children and adolescents. The successful candidate will work within a community service, addressing complex mental health issues in various settings. Responsibilities include collaborating with multi-agency teams and engaging with patients and families. Opportunities for training and professional development are available, and Welsh language skills are desirable.
The post holder will work within a Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service, providing CAMHS assessment and therapeutic services to children, adolescents and their families who have been referred from within the existing service. Clients will be experiencing severe, complex and enduring psychological, emotional and mental health difficulties. The post holder will carry out this process in consultation as appropriate with the client and the family, fellow team members, other professionals, and the referrer.

Powys CAMHS has well established links with partner agencies, neighbouring CAMHS services and educational establishments. Individuals are encouraged to work autonomously with appropriate support and guidance from senior team members.
The development of leadership skills is positively harnessed and encouraged across the service. Potential candidates are encouraged to make contact to discuss the job in more detail.
