Specialist Biomedical Scientist - Blood sciences/ Biochemistry | Bushey | Full Time + on call
Spire Bushey Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Biomedical Scientist to join the team on a full time permanent basis.
Our pathology hub operates 7 days per week so you will be expected to work weekends on rotation and evening shifts until 8pm.

As the Specialist BMS for Blood Sciences / Biochemistry you will also have responsibility for the MLA pool, ensuring the MLAs are rotated into each section as required and that there is adequate MLA staffing in each section. You will also to support the MLA training and competencies ensuring they have the required skills to perform the MLA role across the whole department.
To assist in the organisation, management and development of services within a specialised area of the pathology service, or across a range of services provided by the laboratory at Hub Hospital and support the provision of pathology services for spoke site Hospitals
To liaise with the Laboratory Consultant and the Pathology Manager, to ensure the provision of the high-quality service in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
