Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to join a specialist primary setting in Bradford, West Yorkshire. You will deliver high‑quality, personalised learning for children with additional needs, working closely with the SENCO, support staff and families to ensure holistic progress.

The role is full‑time and long‑term, with a typical 8:30am–4:00pm schedule, and a salary rate of 140–220 per day depending on experience and responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching in SEN setting or strong SEN knowledge.
  • Calm, empathetic and resilient classroom management.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, tailored teaching primarily to primary-aged pupils.
  • Plan and differentiate engaging lessons meeting EHCP outcomes and milestones.

  • Support the academic, social and emotional development of each child.

As a SEND Teacher, you will
  • Deliver high‑quality, tailored teaching primarily to primary‑aged pupils.
  • Plan and differentiate engaging lessons that meet EHCP outcomes and developmental milestones.
  • Collaborate closely with the SENCO, support staff, and parents/carers to ensure a consistent, holistic approach to education.
  • Focus on the academic, social, and emotional development of each child, supporting their unique needs.
What We're Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching in an SEN setting or strong SEN knowledge within mainstream education.
  • A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach to classroom management.
  • Passion for inclusive education and a commitment to ensuring every child makes progress.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students and deliver personalised learning.
To be eligible, you must
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide two professional child‑related references.
