Job summary

SMART Education Recruitment is seeking a compassionate SEND Teacher for a specialist school in Walsall to deliver highly personalised learning for pupils with severe and profound needs. Qualifications

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is required.
• 6 months' experience teaching pupils with SEN in a UK school.
• Experience differentiating learning to meet complex needs.
• Enhanced DBS via Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to provide references covering the previous 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Deliver creative, personalised lessons to meet EHCP outcomes.
• Support pupils with complex learning, physical and sensory needs.
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and healthcare professionals.
• Monitor progress and maintain accurate assessment records.
• Promote independence, communication and confidence throughout the school day.
