Job summary

Randstad Education is recruiting for a dedicated 1:1 SEND support role in a Bradford primary school known for its focused SEND provision. The role involves supporting a pupil with ASD/ADHD, implementing tailored education plans, and collaborating with the SENDCo to adapt activities for inclusion.

Ideal candidates will have practical SEND experience, GCSEs in English and Maths, an enhanced DBS (Update Service preferred), and strong teamwork skills to thrive in a supportive setting.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with complex needs such as Autism (ASD) or ADHD.

• Implement structured individual education and behaviour plans in partnership with the SENDCo.

• Assist in adapting classroom resources and activities to make learning accessible and engaging.

• Support emotional regulation and promote pupil independence through praise and structured routines.

• Monitor student engagement and provide detailed progress notes to the class teacher.

Requirements for the Role

• Practical experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEND), in care or school settings.

• A patient, warm, and highly resilient personality capable of dealing with varied learning needs.

• Good foundational qualifications (GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics).

• An Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or readiness to undergo a check).

• Strong team player skills with a proactive approach to daily school life.
