Job summary

Hall & Woodhouse’s Dazzling Duchess pub near Dorchester is recruiting a proactive Sous Chef to lead service when needed and help maintain our high standards. We offer a proper work–life balance with consistent hours, a supportive team, and strong development opportunities.

£14.50 per hour plus a share of tips, 60% off meals on shift, free uniform and shoes, and optional live‑in accommodation for £77.70 a week. A clear path to Head Chef and an opportunity to take a Level 3 apprenticeship.

Dazzling Duchess - Poundbury Near Dorchester Built in 2016 by the Duchy of Cornwall but operated as part of the Hall & Woodhouse family of great pubs, the Duchess of Cornwall was so named at the direct request of the Prince of Wales and was opened by the then Prince and Duchess. The pub contains many artefacts from the Woodhouse family including The Badger glass - the largest hand-blown glass in the world. The building is split into sections over three floors, Bar and the Pantry, the grand central staircase, first floor dining room with its open kitchen and then to top it all off, is a beautiful outside terrace.
