Job summary

KSB Recruitment is seeking a Sous Chef for a live-in position in Stirling, Scotland, joining a lakeside hotel and traditional Scottish restaurant. You will work with fresh, seasonal Scottish produce and support the Head Chef in daily operations.

This permanent, full-time role offers 45 hours per week, a salary of £35,000–£38,000 plus tronc, with free live-in accommodation and clear progression toward Head Chef.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Sous Chef or Chef de Partie ready to step up.
• Passion for fresh, seasonal cooking and high-quality food.
• Rosette or fine dining experience would be beneficial.
• Strong leadership, organisation and communication skills.
• Good understanding of food safety and kitchen management.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations.
• Lead and motivate the brigade to deliver consistently high-quality dishes.
• Prepare and present dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
• Assist with menu development, stock control and waste management.
• Train and support junior team members.
• Maintain excellent food hygiene and health and safety standards.
