Job summary

Loungers plc is hiring a full-time Sous Chef for Palomo Lounge, part of our Casual Dining Group of the Year 2026. You will lead kitchen shifts, support the Head Chef, and ensure every plate leaves the pass to a high standard.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Sous Chef or senior kitchen role.
• Strong leadership and the ability to coach junior chefs.
• Commitment to high standards of food quality, cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen shifts with confidence, ensuring service runs smoothly from prep to plating.
• Be the Head Chef’s right hand, supporting daily operations and stepping up in their absence.
• Set the tone for high standards on the pass, focusing on quality, pace and hygiene.
• Take ownership of key routines including prep, par, stock, waste, orders and shift handovers.
• Coach and develop the kitchen team to deliver great food every shift.
