Job summary

Barranco Lounge, part of Loungers plc, is hiring a full-time Sous Chef to be at the heart of the kitchen team. You’ll lead shifts, support the Head Chef, and ensure every dish leaving the pass is of high standard.

We offer a competitive base salary with bonus and overtime, 48-hour contracts (40-hour option available), overtime pay, free meals on every shift, and a clear path for progression within our growing Casual Dining Group.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef or senior line cook to lead kitchen operations.
• Ability to train and mentor a kitchen team with confidence.
• Commitment to high standards of food quality, hygiene and safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen shifts from prep to service, ensuring smooth operation.
• Be the Head Chef’s right hand and support day-to-day kitchen operations.
• Set the tone for quality, pace, cleanliness, hygiene and safety on the pass.
• Coach and develop chefs to consistently deliver great food each shift.
