Job summary

Occulo Lounge, part of Loungers plc, is recruiting a full-time Sous Chef to join the kitchen team. You will support the Head Chef, lead the team through service and ensure every dish leaving the pass is proudly presented.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in running kitchen shifts as Sous Chef or Chef de Partie.
• Ability to lead a team through busy services and maintain high standards.
• Knowledge of food safety, allergy procedures and portion control.
• Experience in a café bar or casual dining environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen shifts with confidence from prep to plating.
• Support Head Chef and stand in during absence.
• Set high standards on the pass for quality, pace and hygiene.
• Oversee prep, stock management, waste and handovers.
• Coach and develop junior chefs and pass on skills.
