Job summary

Loungers plc is hiring a full-time Sous Chef for Caballero Lounge, a vibrant café bar within the Loungers family. You’ll lead kitchen shifts, support the Head Chef, and ensure every dish leaving the pass reflects pride in our fresh ingredients.

Qualifications

• A passionate cook who takes real pride in fresh ingredients.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to delivering high standards.
• Leads by example in the kitchen and supports the Head Chef.
• Owns a shift in the Head Chef's absence and manages stock and handovers.
• Team player who mentors other chefs to improve.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen shifts with confidence, ensuring service is smooth and on spec from prep to plate.
• Support the Head Chef and step in during their absence to maintain strong results.
• Maintain high standards on the pass for food quality, pace, cleanliness and safety.
• Take ownership of prep, stock control, waste, orders and shift handovers.
• Coach and support the team to develop skills and deliver great food every shift.
