Job summary

Loungers plc is hiring a full-time Sous Chef for Saludo Lounge, a local café bar. Join a growing hospitality brand with 300+ sites, competitive salary, bonus, paid overtime and progression opportunities.

As Sous Chef you'll lead shifts, support Head Chef, uphold high standards, and help every dish leave the pass with pride. 48-hour contract (40-hour option) with overtime paid and staff perks from day one.

Qualifications

• A passionate cook who takes real pride in fresh ingredients and consistent quality.
• Reliable and punctual with strong work ethic.
• Leads by example in the kitchen and maintains high standards on the pass.
• Owns shift responsibilities from prep to stock management.
• Team player who coaches others and helps them improve.
• Experience as Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef or Chef de Partie for next step.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen shifts, keeping service smooth from prep to final plate.
• Support Head Chef, step up in their absence, maintain strong results.
• Set high standards on the pass for quality, pace, hygiene and safety.
• Own key routines: prep, par, stock, waste, orders, handovers.
• Coach teammates to build confidence and improve skills.
