Job summary

Mitchells & Butler s PLC seeks a capable Sous Chef for the White Lion in Vintage Inns. You will lead a kitchen section, train your team, and step up in the Head Chef's absence.

You’ll help with food ordering, preparation, and stock control while ensuring the branded menu is executed to a high standard. You’ll be part of a welcoming team across Vintage Inns, with opportunities for progression and development within the Mitchells & Butlers group.

Qualifications

• Experience as a sous chef or senior chef in a high-volume kitchen.
• Proven ability to train and motivate kitchen staff.
• Experience with branded menus and stock control.
• Knowledge of health and hygiene regulations.

Responsibilities

• Be driven to smash targets with your team.
• Train and inspire your team to deliver food to be proud of.
• Support Head Chef with food ordering, preparation and stock control.
• Oversee compliance with a branded menu and health/safety standards.
• Manage Chefs and the wider kitchen team.
• Ensure health and hygiene regulations are followed.
