Job summary

Fuller’s in Reading is seeking a creative Sous Chef to support the Head Chef, stepping in when they’re away to keep service smooth and dining memorable.

You’ll lead the kitchen team, prepare fresh seasonal dishes, and maintain top hygiene standards while contributing to new menu ideas and staff development.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sous Chef or deputy to the Head Chef.
• Ability to prepare fresh, seasonal dishes with high standards.
• Strong hygiene and food safety awareness are essential.

Responsibilities

• As a deputy to the Head Chef, you will take full control of the kitchen when they are away.
• Prepare fresh food made from seasonal, local ingredients.
• Bring new ideas and create fresh dishes.
• Bring the best out of the kitchen team.
• Take pride in every successful service.
• Hygiene qualification, excellent food knowledge and food safety awareness are all essential for this role.
