Job summary

Gateway Hospitality Recruitment is seeking a Sous Chef for a luxury hotel in Worcestershire. You will work with fresh produce to prepare restaurant and event meals, and lead service in the Head Chef’s absence. The role involves managing a kitchen brigade and maintaining health & safety standards.

The position offers 45 hours per week, 5 days from 7, staff accommodation and live-in options are available, with a salary up to £40k rising to £42k after probation, plus tips.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking with fresh produce to a high standard.
• Capable and able to work unsupervised.
• Already a Chef looking for a new challenge in a busy 2AA rosette level kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Preparing meals for restaurant and functions using seasonal produce to 2AA rosette levels.
• Running service in Head Chef's absence.
• Manage kitchen brigade including health & safety, hygiene.
• Good knowledge of GP & Wasteage controls.

Our client is a luxury & busy Country Hotel in Worcestershire who are recruiting a Sous Chef. You will be working with all fresh produce to prepare restaurant and bar meals along with celebrations/parties. You will be part of a busy kitchen team and mange service and encourage junior chefs in the Head Chef's absence. The role is 45 hours per week , working 5 days from 7 and staff accommdoation is available.
