A Solutions Manager based in London, who will represent the RMI franchise over the entire asset management lifecycle, from investment strategy design, portfolio implementation, ongoing client portfolio reviews to investment strategy evolution.

The team

The portfolio management team build strong, lean processes that provide quality, standardised outcomes for our clients using a wide range of instruments and techniques. We are experts in portfolio construction, carefully selecting the right process and derivatives where the solution demands. We understand the regulations that our clients work within. And we look for ways to standardise and automate, so we can give extra care and attention to the things that make a difference.

What you’ll do

• Collaborate with other Solution Managers, Distribution, Portfolio Managers and Solutions Structuring & Trading to generate investment ideas, develop new strategies, and create custom solutions.
• Design, model, and ‘package’ derivative strategies for a broad client base (pensions, insurance, wealth, and retail channels globally).
• Develop effective marketing materials for internal and external clients (RFPs, pitchbooks, presentations, trainings) to be leveraged by Solution Managers and Distribution when marketing RMI capabilities
• Represent RMI in client engagements in periodic reviews, client strategy reviews, and client due diligence/research visits.
• Produce thought leadership and represent Schroders in external events to identify new business opportunities and sell Schroders’ capabilities to potential clients
• Respond to day-to-day client queries on existing mandates by synthesizing inputs from both desk‑based tools, wider Schroders infrastructure and centrally produced client-specific information

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

• Previous work experience of 10+ years in asset management or investment banking, preferably across multiple asset classes and investment disciplines
• Strong background in equity derivatives
• Track record of excellent interpersonal skills in writing and speech; capable of connecting with multiple audiences with different levels of technical understanding
• Solid understanding of investment solutions, indices, and ETFs
• Effective problem‑solving and analytical skills

The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help

• Experience across multiple asset classes
• Experience with institutional clients and strategies
• Familiarity with Python and other coding languages
• Knowledge of UCITS, Solvency II, MiFiD and BMR regulations
• European language skills, especially German or Italian
