The Senior Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing solutions for transformational and operational risk initiatives across the Index Platform estate. The role requires expertise in designing web applications, middleware/API layers, and cloud solutions (AWS). The candidate will provide technical leadership, conduct proof of concepts (PoCs), and take ownership of end-to-end project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce and promote high-quality solution designs and application architectures aligned with enterprise architecture principles.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to define current/target states, transition plans, and roadmaps.
• Design enterprise-level web applications using technologies such as Angular, Java/C#, and Python.
• Leverage AWS cloud services and both SQL and NoSQL database implementations.
• Champion best practices, policies, and design principles.
• Analyze business requirements to identify flexible, pragmatic architecture solutions.
• Participate in vendor evaluations and influence technology roadmaps where necessary.
• Develop and demonstrate new concepts or technologies through PoCs.
• Partner with infrastructure and information security teams to ensure secure, reliable solutions.
• Lead architecture design for new initiatives focused on process automation and index management capabilities.
• Mentor technical leads and consultants to build deep domain and technical expertise within the team.
• Prioritize technical backlogs in alignment with business priorities.
• Support the launch of new products and streamline maintenance of existing products.

Technical Skills & Knowledge:

• Proven experience in technical architecture, including UIs, microservices, data lakes, APIs, RDBMS, and NoSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of Agile and SAFe methodologies.
• Experience designing solutions in distributed, resilient environments and integrating enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with information security best practices.
• Experience with BPM implementation (advantageous).
• Proven ability to handle design dependencies within matrix organizations.

Business & Sector Expertise (Desirable):

• Understanding of asset management, including fixed income, equities, and multi-asset portfolio analytics.
• Familiarity with indexes and benchmarks.
