Salesforce Solution Architect

London | Consultancy to Perm (3–6 months initially)

Senior Manager / Director level

A global digital and creative organisation is looking for a hands‑on Salesforce Solution Architect to define, build, and own its CRM and marketing technology capability. This is a senior role with real influence, sitting at the centre of strategy, creative, and technical delivery, with a strong focus on pitch‑led work and scalable solution design.

You’ll lead the technical architecture across Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Customer Data Platform, integrations, and campaign orchestration, shaping end‑to‑end CRM solutions that are both robust and commercially compelling.

  • Lead the technical workstream for major pitch proposals, owning platform architecture, solution design, and supporting documentation.
  • Design end‑to‑end CRM and marketing automation architectures using Salesforce Marketing Cloud and CDP.
  • Contribute to internal planning and scoping sessions, bringing technical input into journey builder, templating, and segmentation use cases.
  • Define the technical delivery model, including integration strategy, reusability frameworks, and journey orchestration approaches.
  • Act as the technical point of contact for offshore delivery teams, ensuring alignment with proposed architecture and delivery capability.
  • Translate business, data, and campaign requirements into scalable, well‑documented technical solutions.
  • Own and develop technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and standards that support the overall pitch narrative.
  • Design reusable journey and campaign modules, templates, and QA frameworks to demonstrate delivery maturity.
  • Advise on integrations with data and segmentation platforms, ensuring scalability and interoperability.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Salesforce Technical Lead or Solution Architect, with hands‑on expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, integrations, and automation within SFMC and CDP environments.
  • Experience working across cross‑functional teams, including offshore delivery partners.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of email marketing QA tools such as Litmus, and best practice across campaign automation and data segmentation.

This role suits someone who enjoys being close to the work, shaping solutions from the ground up, and playing a visible role in high‑stakes pitches, with a clear pathway from consultancy into a permanent leadership position.
