Location: Huyton, UK

Overview

Sanctuary Personnel is currently looking for a skilled and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Adults Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) in Huyton. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in safeguarding vulnerable adults, working within a multidisciplinary setting and making a measurable difference in the community. The role offers flexibility in working hours and an attractive locum hourly rate.

Main Responsibilities

Conduct safeguarding enquiries and assessments in line with Care Act 2014 responsibilities.

Develop and implement person-centred care plans based on risk assessments and individual needs.

Collaborate effectively within the MASH team to triage and respond to safeguarding referrals.

Provide guidance and support to vulnerable adults, advocating for their rights and well-being.

Liaise with partner agencies including health services, police, housing, and voluntary sector organisations.

Monitor and review care plans to ensure positive outcomes and quality care.

Maintain accurate, timely, and legally compliant case records.

Attend case conferences, reviews, and safeguarding strategy meetings.

Apply professional judgement and analytical skills in complex safeguarding scenarios.

Requirements

Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.

Experience in adult safeguarding, ideally within a MASH or similar multi-agency environment.

Knowledge of relevant legislation including the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding frameworks.

Strong communication, assessment, and record-keeping skills.

Ability to work under pressure and manage a varied caseload effectively.
