Job summary

The National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux in Gateshead is seeking a Social Welfare Adviser to join our team. You will handle inquiries by phone, offering tailored advice on welfare benefits, employment, money advice, housing, energy and more.

We provide training to help you gain the knowledge required to excel, and you will contribute to our mission of promoting equality and social change in the community. This role supports a flexible, 7-day service with a permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Experience advising on complex social welfare issues.
• Excellent communication skills and passion for helping others.

Responsibilities

• Handle inquiries primarily through phone contact offering tailored advice on welfare benefits, employment, money advice, housing and related issues.
• Provide advice on welfare benefits, employment, money advice, housing, energy and more.
• We will provide training so you are able to gain the knowledge you will require to excel in this role.
• Your commitment to our charity’s values will be vital in providing the best possible support to our clients.
• Hours include Monday-Sunday to support 7-day service.
