Job summary

Veolia in London is seeking a proactive role focused on delivering social value within a local contract. The role involves managing communications, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring partnerships with external agencies drive community impact.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage social value commitments for a local area and ensure plans are delivered to meet objectives.
  • Provide general communications support for the ECO team and day-to-day contact with Client Officers and Contract Managers.
  • Coordinate cross-departmental teams to deliver project work.
  • Hire and oversee agency teams / third party service providers as directed by project needs.
  • Deliver Education, Communication and Outreach (ECO) activities planned for the contract to meet social value objectives.

Job description

Salary - £32,000-£38,000 dependent on experience plus Veolia benefits.

Location - Hammersmith and Fulham

Hours - 40 hours per week, standard hours are 08:30-17:00, Monday to Friday

What you'll be doing:

Effectively work towards and manage the social value commitments for a local area and ensure strategic plans are delivered to meet objectives. To provide general communications support for the ECO team and contract as required and be in day to day contact with Client Officers and Contract Managers.

  • Compliance with all Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Support the Contract ECO manager to provide day to day communication support for the contract as required
  • Support the Contract ECO Manager and Area ECO Manager to deliver regional and national communications objectives within contract, as required
  • Hire and oversee performance of agency teams / third party service providers as directed by project needs
  • Coordinate cross departmental teams to deliver project work
  • Manage and report on the social value function of the contract and lead on the design and delivery of specific projects to achieve contractual commitments
  • Support recruitment into the operational team by fostering relationships with external partners, delivering webinars and workshops to offer career advice
  • Deliver Education, Communication and Outreach (ECO) activities planned for the contract to meet with social value objectives, with a strong focus on education
  • Identify contract good news stories and feed to the regional Digital and PR teamMaintain a network across the UK ECO team to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement and lead on the implementation in their region where relevant
  • Keep abreast of industry developments
What are we looking for?
Essential:
