It's why we're looking for someone who's just as committed as we are, to push for genuine change and bring our ambition of Ecological Transformation to life.

We know that everyone here at Veolia can help us work alongside our communities, look after the environment, and contribute to our inclusive culture.

What we can offer you:
  • Access to our company pension scheme
  • Discounts on everything from groceries to well known retailers

What you'll be doing:

The Local ECO Manager will manage and develop the Education, Communications and Outreach, and Social Value function for the contracts, and ensure strategic project plans are delivered to a high standard, demonstrating measurable results to meet objectives.

You will work closely with the Area ECO Manager and lead a team of ECO and Social Value Officers to develop community engagement and social value projects to change resident behaviours, improve recycling rates and embed our contracts within the local community and will be responsible for the budget, timeline and quality of their delivery. You will also be the day to day point of contact for the client and site management team and have responsibility for developing staff wellbeing events and engagement in collaboration with the local contract teams.

  • Build strong relationships with our clients (Royal Borough of Kingston, Merton Council, Sutton Council and Croydon Council), Veolia operations management team, and colleagues, quickly responding to queries and providing solutions to maintain a high standard of service.
  • Drive the performance of the ECO officers, coaching and mentoring them to improve their project planning, community engagement approach, and support them in achieving their personal goals.
