A leading insurance recruitment agency in Bolton is seeking an experienced account handler to manage SME commercial accounts, focusing on renewals and mid-term adjustments. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Motor and Fleet policies and previous experience in a broking role. This position offers a hybrid work model with 3 days in the office and 2 from home.

Job description

Location: Bolton, Hybrid role – 3 days in office, 2 from home

PURPOSE OF ROLE

To support the team during a maternity leave period, handling SME commercial accounts with a focus on renewals, MTAs, and some new business. Initially renewals-heavy to build pipeline.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage SME commercial policies across Motor, Fleet, Shops, Tradesmen, Liability, and BI
• Handle renewals, mid-term adjustments (MTAs), and occasional new business
• Provide support to the wider Corporate and Senior broking team
• Deliver a high standard of service in line with company and FCA guidelines

DAY-TO-DAY

• Process client documentation and renewals through Acturis
• Liaise with insurers and clients for terms, queries, and cover requirements
• Maintain accurate records and update systems accordingly
• Work both independently and alongside account handlers/executives

EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in a broking/SME handling role (Commercial lines)
• Strong knowledge of Motor and Fleet policies
• Experience using Acturis preferred
