Job summary

SSE Smart Buildings is seeking a Smart Buildings Support Engineer to join our BMS Support team. This field-based role covers Oxford, Bicester, Northampton, Swindon and Reading, with a focus on energy performance, maintenance planning and responsive support across multiple sites.

You will carry out pre-planned maintenance, respond to breakdowns, identify system improvements, and provide clear onsite reports while travelling to different sites with a full driving licence.

Qualifications

• Good technical experience with Trend or Tridium BEMS/HVAC Building Controls.
• Excellent communication skills with stakeholders including customers and service providers.
• Strong customer service mindset with professionalism and reliability.
• Flexible on-call availability and agile working approach.
• A full driving licence as travel to sites is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out BMS pre-planned maintenance, small upgrades and additional works.
• Respond to and resolve reactive breakdowns, within core hours and out-of-hours standby.
• Identify system improvements to enhance energy performance and efficiency.
• Provide detailed, concise reports based on onsite activities.
