Job summary

SSE Energy Solutions – Smart Buildings is seeking a Smart Buildings Support Engineer to join the BMS Support team. Field-based across North East England, you will perform planned maintenance, address breakdowns, and drive energy performance improvements.

We value flexible, collaborative professionals with strong communication skills and a full driving licence to travel between sites. Training will be provided for specific systems as needed.

Qualifications

• Good technical experience in Siemens, Trend or Tridium BEMS/HVAC Building Controls.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with customers and external service providers.
• Professional customer service with ability to provide technical support, coaching and direction.
• Agile working approach with flexibility to support an on‑call rota.
• Full driving licence for travel to multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Carry out BMS pre planned maintenance, small upgrades and additional works.
• Respond to and resolve reactive breakdowns, including out of hours standby.
• Identify system improvements to enhance energy performance and software updates.
• Provide detailed and concise reports based on onsite activities.
