Job summary

SSE plc is seeking a Smart Buildings Support Engineer to join the BMS Support team in a field-based role. The role involves carrying out pre-planned maintenance, upgrades, and energy reduction initiatives across multiple sites in the Oxford region and beyond.

You will respond to breakdowns, identify improvements, and provide clear onsite reports, while maintaining excellent customer service and working with stakeholders. A full driving licence is required to travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Experience with Trend or Tridium BEMS/HVAC building controls.
• Strong communication skills enabling collaboration with customers and suppliers.
• Customer-focused approach with professional service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-planned maintenance, small upgrades and additional works on BMS systems.
• Respond to and resolve reactive breakdowns, during core hours and on-call shifts.
• Identify system improvements and energy performance enhancements.
• Provide detailed, concise reports based on onsite activities.
