Job summary

SSE Smart Buildings is seeking a Smart Buildings Support Engineer to join our BMS Support team. This field-based role covers oxford, bans etc. You will perform pre-planned maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and identify energy‑efficient improvements while delivering clear onsite reports.

With a focus on energy performance and customer service, you will work across sites, support an on‑call rota, and contribute to SSE’s sustainable building targets. A full driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Good technical experience with Trend or Tridium BEMS/HVAC Building Controls.
• Strong communication skills enabling collaboration with customers and external service providers.
• Professional customer service mindset with ability to provide technical support and coaching.

Responsibilities

• Carry out BMS pre-planned maintenance, small upgrades and additional works.
• Respond to and resolve reactive breakdowns, during core hours and on‑call rota.
• Identify system improvements such as upgrades and software enhancements for energy performance.
• Provide detailed, concise reports based on onsite activities.
