Job summary

SSE plc's Smart Buildings division is seeking a Smart Buildings Support Engineer to join the BMS Support team. This field-based role covers London and South East England, offering opportunities to work on energy reduction projects and system upgrades.

You will perform pre-planned maintenance, respond to reactive issues, identify improvements in Siemens/Trend/Distech/Tridium BEMS/HVAC, and deliver concise site reports while supporting an on-call rota. Driving is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with Siemens, Trend, Distech or Tridium BEMS/HVAC building controls.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders and customers.
• Willingness to work in an on-call rota and field-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-planned maintenance and small upgrades.
• Respond to and resolve reactive breakdowns, including out-of-hours standby.
• Identify system improvements and software enhancements to improve energy performance.
• Provide detailed site reports based on onsite activities.
