Job summary

SSE Smart Buildings is seeking a Smart Buildings Support Engineer to join the BMS Support team in a field-based role covering Reading and surrounding sites. You will perform PPM activities, minor upgrades and energy reduction initiatives while expanding your knowledge and skills.

The role requires good technical experience with Trend or Tridium BEMS/HVAC, strong communication, and a flexible on-call availability. A full driving licence is essential as travel to sites is involved.

Qualifications

• Strong technical experience with Trend or Tridium BEMS/HVAC building controls.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with customers and service providers.
• Professional customer service with ability to coach and direct.
• Willingness to work on-call rota and travel to site locations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out BMS pre-planned maintenance, small upgrades and additional works.
• Respond to and resolve reactive breakdowns during core hours and on-call.
• Identify system improvements to enhance energy performance and efficiency.
• Provide detailed reports based on on-site activities.
