Job summary

SSE Energy Solutions – Smart Buildings is seeking a Smart Buildings Support Engineer to join the BMS Support team on a permanent, full‑time basis. The role is field-based across North East England with flexible first options and cross-site travel to client sites.

You will carry out pre-planned maintenance, respond to reactive breakdowns, and drive energy performance improvements using Siemens, Trend or Tridium BEMS/HVAC controls. Strong communication with customers and partners is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Siemens, Trend or Tridium BEMS/HVAC building controls.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with customers and partners.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Carry out BMS pre planned maintenance and small upgrades.
• Respond to and resolve reactive breakdowns, including out of hours.
• Identify system improvements to optimise energy performance.
• Provide detailed reports based on on-site activities.
