Job summary

SSE Smart Buildings in Reading is seeking a Smart Buildings Support Engineer to join our BMS Support team. You will carry out planned maintenance, respond to breakdowns and implement energy performance improvements across multiple sites.

The role requires experience with Trend or Tridium BEMS/HVAC building controls, strong communication with stakeholders, and a flexible on-call approach. A full driving licence is essential as you will travel to different sites.

Qualifications

• Good technical experience with Trend or Tridium BEMS/HVAC Building Controls.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with customers and external service providers.
• Strong customer service mindset with professionalism and ability to guide and coach others.
• Willingness to support an on-call rota and travel to multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Carry out BMS pre planned maintenance, small upgrades and additional works
• Respond to and resolve reactive breakdowns, both within core hours and on-call standby.
• Identify system improvements such as upgrades and software enhancements for energy performance.
• Provide detailed and concise reports based on onsite activities.
