Job summary

onlyFE's Training 2000 project is recruiting a Skills Development Coach to support Engineering Apprentices from onboarding to End Point Assessment in Blackburn. You will mentor learners, assess progress and liaise with employers to ensure high-quality apprenticeship outcomes.

A relevant Level 2 literacy, numeracy and ICT plus Level 3 Engineering qualification are required. Strong communication, planning and organisational skills are essential to motivate diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Qualification in Literacy, Numeracy and ICT.
• Level 3 Engineering Qualification in a relevant subject area.
• Knowledge of theory and practical skills in engineering equipment, machinery and materials.
• Strong communication, planning and organisational skills.
• The ability to motivate, support and inspire learners from diverse backgrounds.
• A learner-focused approach with a commitment to delivering an exceptional apprenticeship experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of Engineering Apprentices throughout their apprenticeship journey, from onboarding through End Point Assessment (EPA).
• Provide expert guidance, coaching, assessment and support to help apprentices develop knowledge, skills and behaviours.
• Build strong relationships with employers across the region to support delivery.
• Mentor learners and contribute to high-quality apprenticeship experiences.

As we continue to invest in our facilities, expertise and apprenticeship provision, we are looking for a motivated Skills Development Coach to join our Engineering team based at the Furthergate Business Park, Harwood Street, Blackburn.

About the Role

As a Skills Development Coach, you will manage a caseload of Engineering Apprentices throughout their apprenticeship journey, from onboarding through to End Point Assessment (EPA).

You will provide expert guidance, coaching, assessment and support, helping apprentices develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours they need to succeed in their careers while building strong relationships with employers across the region.
