Tameside College in Ashton-Under-Lyne is recruiting an Apprentice Skills Coach in Engineering on a 0.4 FTE basis. You will deliver training, assess and quality assure work-based learning for engineering apprentices across multiple employers, contributing to growth of high-quality provision.
The role requires maintenance engineering knowledge, NVQ Level 3 and assessor qualifications; IT literacy and strong communication are essential.

Salary: £33,809 to £46,603 (Pro-rota £13,523 to £18,641)

What you’ll need: - You’ll need to provide the relevant knowledge and occupational experience in multi skilled maintenance engineering required to support a number of apprentices across arange of local employers which includes high volume manufacturing, food production and large commercial sites. You will need experience of a wide range of maintenance activities and office based engineering as the caseload will include a number of technical support apprentices. You’ll need to be enthusiastic, resilient and are a highly motivated individual with Literacy / Numeracy to at least Level 2, and NVQ Level 3 in Maintenance Engineering. Knowledge of IT systems including, outlook word and excel would also be beneficial as we use an online IT system to support and track all apprentices. We’ll put you through your Assessor qualifications (A1, TAQA, D32) and give you the skills you needed to support with the training needs of learners through a range of methodologies.
