Job summary

Training 2000, in partnership with Blackburn College, is seeking a Skills Development Coach to manage Engineering Apprenticeships at the Furthergate Business Park in Blackburn. The role focuses on guiding learners from onboarding through End Point Assessment with strong employer relations across the region.

The successful candidate will mentor and coach learners, ensuring high-quality apprenticeship delivery and an exceptional learner experience in engineering.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Qualification in Literacy, Numeracy and ICT.
• Level 3 Engineering Qualification in a relevant subject area.
• Knowledge of theory and practical skills in engineering equipment, machinery and materials.
• Strong communication, planning and organisational skills.
• The ability to motivate, support and inspire learners from diverse backgrounds.
• A learner-focused approach with a commitment to delivering an exceptional apprenticeship experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of Engineering Apprentices from onboarding to EPA.
• Provide expert guidance, coaching, assessment and support.
• Build strong relationships with employers across the region to support apprentices.

As we continue to invest in our facilities, expertise and apprenticeship provision, we are looking for a motivated Skills Development Coach to join our Engineering team based at the Furthergate Business Park, Harwood Street, Blackburn.

About the Role

As a Skills Development Coach, you will manage a caseload of Engineering Apprentices throughout their apprenticeship journey, from onboarding through to End Point Assessment (EPA).

You will provide expert guidance, coaching, assessment and support, helping apprentices develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours they need to succeed in their careers while building strong relationships with employers across the region.
